In 1994, we set out to create a festival dedicated to the presentation of the comedy arts — the best in the performance and writing in theatre, film and television. In our exhaustive and extensive effort to bring together a diverse palette of new discoveries and innovative works, we hope we have succeeded in creating a credible as well as viable industry event for the mixing of art and commerce. Judging be the growth of our Festival each year, the answer seems to be a resounding yes!
The U.S. Comedy Arts Festival is an extraordinary annual event where the industry leaders meet the freshest and newest creators of contemporary comedy across many disciplines. Our year-long search allows us to present the best in alternative comedy, stand-up, sketch, theatre and independent film from around the world, culminating in our Jury Awards for live performance and film. We also continue to build on our tradition of honoring those innovative artists and creators who have broken new ground and have become part of our culture.
We are proud that the Festival continues to be an important gathering place for industry leaders and innovators. Whether on the ski slopes or via our popular panel discussions, the business of comedy is quietly conducted.
As we continue to fill a niche in our ever-changing industry, while staying true to our original mission, we know one thing that will never change: the USCAF is part business, part pleasure, and all comedy. Enjoy!
