"Ive
been an professional artist for 25 years. I began working primarily
as a printmaker and segued into papermaking which I concentrated
on for over 10 years. As my work became more painterly and sculptural
I developed a new way of painting in high relief. Ive lived
in Europe and Asia and traveled extensively which greatly inspired
my early work. More recently Ive turned my gaze closer to
home. Ive been visually responding to music, developing a
vocabulary of personal symbols and incorporating my written notations
into my painting. Also I am continuing with a series of Yoga
Paintings For me, yoga has always had a rich visual internal
aspect, and after years of practice these yoga visions
made their way into my painting."
